To establish a space where Mexican master artisans can exhibit and sell their creations, encouraging them to continue producing high-quality works that stand out for their cultural, artistic, technical, and aesthetic contributions, thereby helping to promote Mexican Folk Art as a Cultural Heritage of our country.

WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?
At the Hacienda Henequenera in Xcaret Park.
WHAT IS THE COST OF ENTRY?
Included with any Xcaret park admission or MXN 200 for entry to the Feria Xcaret de Arte Popular Mexicano only, payable directly at the park ticket office.

• Exhibition and sale of crafts: Explore colorful stalls with unique creations from participating master artisans.
• Technique demonstrations: Immerse yourself in the creative process with live demonstrations of artisanal skills and techniques.
• Contest: The competition adds excitement to the fair with a prize pool of nearly one million pesos divided into categories such as ceramics, textiles, wood, and other techniques.
• Recognition: Awarded to artisans wearing traditional attire all four days of the feria.
• Presentations: Listen to experts discuss topics related to the importance of folk art in our cultural identity.
• Fashion shows: Where fashion meets tradition, showcasing how folk art inspires designs, including a special fashion show and recognition for traditional attire.

Thursday, 19; Friday, 20; and Saturday, 21 at 5:30 p.m.
WHEN IS THE TRADITIONAL ATTIRE FASHION SHOW?
Sunday, 22 at 5:30 p.m. The recognition will be given at the end of the show.
WHAT DOES THE RECOGNITION FOR TRADITIONAL ATTIRE CONSIST OF?
There will be three awards, with amounts of MXN 30,000, MXN 20,000, and MXN 10,000.

• Thursday, 19: “FOLK ART AND CULTURAL HERITAGE” by Carlos Tejada, UNESCO.
• Friday, 20: “MAYA EMBROIDERY, A MILLENNIAL HISTORY” by Silvia Terán, UNESCO.
• Saturday, 21: “MAYA BLUE, RECOVERY OF A CULTURAL LEGACY” by Luis May, Cultural Promoter.
• Sunday, 22: “PRESERVING CULTURAL HERITAGE, EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY” by Salomón Bazbaz and Patricio Chaves, Heritage Specialists.
WHAT TIME AND WHERE ARE THE PRESENTATIONS?
At 4:00 p.m. in the Guadalupe Chapel.
WHAT ARE THE COMPETITION CATEGORIES?
Ceramics, textiles, wood, and other techniques.
WHAT ARE THE OTHER TECHNIQUES INCLUDED IN THE VARIOUS CATEGORY?
Wixárika art, jewelry, leather, plant fibers, stone, gourds, toys, goldsmithing, metalwork, glass, hammocks, papier-mâché, carving, and assembly.
WHAT ARE THE COMPETITION PRIZES FOR EACH CATEGORY?
• 1st place: MXN 100,000.
• 2nd place: MXN 80,000.
• 3rd place: MXN 60,000.
• Honorable mentions: MXN 20,000.
